Devotion
A religious kink poem
Your body,
my place of worship.
I pray at your altar.
Your juices,
my holy water.
Anoint me.
Your breath,
my prayer.
Baptize me in your waters.
Your hands,
the songs that make me quiver.
Crying with moans of devotion,
confessing my sins to your lips,
begging for your mercy.
“Forgive me Daddy for I have sinned”

This has such a Hozierian feel to it, but you push some the ideas of religious sensuality even further, the idea of being anointed by one’s lover is some of the best poetry I’ve read today. To anoint is to sanctify, to bless, the idea that one’s pleasure is so holy that it may relate orgasm to some form of beatification or evoking of a higher power, is resplendent.
